Our team is looking to collaborate with volunteers in a variety of ways, from administrative support, technical assistants, and a variety of tasks prior to and the day of the event. We invite you to bring your talents to the table. Details, hours and specific job descriptions outlined below:
Production Assistants:
Assist with setting up festival sites interior and exterior Friday, June 17 & Saturday, June 18.
Manage on-site registration, last minute payment processes, provide general assistance, assist participant in locating workshop venues (some off site), parking monitor, outdoor Market Place support, run errands as needed (drivers license & car an asset).
Technical & Workshop Assistant:
Assist Musical Director, set-up & break-down sound equipment, microphones, large screen, projector, DVD player/computers as needed. Open & close workshop locations, assist in setting-up rooms, assist facilitator & participants as needed. Hand out Festival Programs, site maps, answer questions, help with lunch-time activities.
Bake Sale:
Manage bake sale Fund Raiser
Expand, Connect and Learn in a full day of Awakening, with international keynote speakers, musical performances, workshops, FREE out-door Market Place. Come and enjoy the PEACE of this natural setting, in Hudson on the Lake of Two Mountains. Come and share you talents, and passion for community out-reach and volunteerism, meet and connect with a new and exciting community of friends.

About the Awakening Festival
The Designing Transformation team is producing the Awakening Festival http://www.awakeningfestival.org in Hudson, QC on Saturday, June 18th 8:30am 5:30pm
It is a celebration of community activism, philanthropy, and awakening to our individual gifts and talents. This will be a day of performances, keynote speakers, workshops, an out-door marketplace, environmental lectures, connecting with nature, and celebrating.
Proceeds from the festival will be donated to The Westwood Bridge to Burundi Project – a youth-lead community initiative – which involves local children building schools in Africa.
